Re: Randy and Karla Nubling, as adoptive parents
I have known Karla since 1987. Karla and I met while taking summer school college classes through Moorpark Community College. The class we shared ended up to being quite frustrating for us, but together we got through it. Meeting Karla in that class started a twenty-year friendship. We would go to the farmer’s market, shopping for interesting foods, hiking, walking and just being good friends. Randy and Karla were dating then so I got to know him too. I really enjoyed them as a couple. When I met my future husband we would see each other more regularly. Karla’s skills as a physical therapist were a big help during my pregnancies in my coping with all the new things happening to my body.
Karla is an amazing friend, always thoughtful. Even if she couldn’t be with me in person she would always have positive and loving things to say to us.
There have been many times that Karla and Randy graciously came to my aid. I had two caesarian sections one in 1997 and the other in 1999. They came and helped with the babies and me. She was very helpful when our son John was born as he was three weeks early and was so tiny. I had to have six hip replacements, due to complications from Systemic Lupus Nephritis, and after each one (1997, 1999, 2002, 2001, 2004 and 2005) Karla helped me and also with the children; playing, feeding, bathing and singing lullabies. After one time that she had taken care of my youngest son for 72 hours straight, she confided in me that she could easily see herself loving an adopted child as her own!
I think that any birth mom or dad considering Randy and Karla Nubling as being the parents for their child would make the right choice. Karla is very down to earth, smart, caring, and loving. Karla is courageous woman with a great spirit for life. She will be a fantastic Mom. Randy is very smart, a great provider, calm, and a loving man who would be a great Daddy.
With warmest regards,
JoAnne
